“Flavor that Flatters” — that’s The Skinny Vine motto.
At just 86 – 96 calories per 5 ounce serving, The Skinny Vine is a brand new, soon-to-be released line of light wines that is the featured tasting of tonight’s Thirsty Girl TGTaste Twitter Party. I am excited to try them out!
Tonight we will be tasting The Skinny Vine Slim Chardonnay (86 calories/5 oz), Thin Zin (89 calories/5 oz), and Mini Moscato (96 calories/5 oz). How do they make these wines with less calories but still keep their flavor? Check out The Skinny Vine video online.
I have always been more of a medium- to full-bodied wine drinker — and I’ve never, ever been a calorie counter (pssh. Life’s too short!) — but I am always up for trying something new, especially when wine is involved, so I am very curious how tonight’s tasting will go. I didn’t even cheat with a little taste beforehand — I am that intrigued! :)
To pair with these wines, I’m considering making a seafood pasta. We’ll see if I can fit it in between work and kid activities this afternoon…
Suggested food pairings from The Skinny Vine:
Slim Chardonnay + Lobster Pasta
Thin Zin + Butternut Squash Soup
Mini Moscato + Raspberry-Kissed Brownies
You can read more about each vintage and download the recipes for each of the suggested pairings at TheSkinnyVine.com.
What I do know I love about The Skinny Vine: the design. Their logo is light and airy, and the colors are spring fresh. Perfect pairings for a calorie-conscious brand.
