It’s official: mocktails MAKE the playdate.
Don’t these look amazing? They are definitely tasty, and super easy and fast to make. More on these delicious Strawberry Mojito Mocktails later in the post.
First, it’s been a while since my kids and I have had a big group playdate. We used to have them all the time when they were babies and toddlers, with anywhere from three to 10 other moms and their kids. Now that my kids are older (ages 7 and 10), their playdates are, well, their playdates: drop-off playdates that consist of going over to friends’ houses or friends coming over to our house.
Recently, I was invited by Heather of Heather Likes Food to a #TreeTopPlaydate at one of our old fave family-friendly spots in Portland, The Play Boutique. If you are in Beaverton or Lake Oswego, definitely check them out! It’s a great place for kids to play (and they have camps and a preschool!). It was loads of fun, and it brought back all of those great memories of the big group playdates we used to have with other mom pals and their kids.
We were treated to a delicious lunch, courtesy of Tree Top.
In addition the the food, there were fun kids crafts and — AND!! — chair massages. Ahhh, that chair massage was long, long overdue and I can’t wait to book a full massage soon. Now where were playdates like this when my kids were babies? ;) The massages were a welcome, unexpected touch!
Tree Top Fruit Full Smoothies
We also all got to taste test the brand new Tree Top Fruit Full, a shelf-stable smoothie that is available in two delicious flavors: Strawberry and Mango. I like both flavors, but my son’s favorite is definitely Strawberry.
I’ve written about how much my family loves smoothies many, many times before. Smoothies are often the only way that my kids get their veggies — and I don’t ever have to hide what’s in them, they just would much rather drink their kale and cucumber than crunch into them!
But we’re a busy, busy family (I am sure you can relate, right?), and as much as we love smoothies, I sometimes wish they didn’t require so much chopping, blending, and cleaning up. It’s like Tree Top got inside my brain when they created Tree Top Fruit Full smoothies. While we’ll still definitely make smoothies from scratch, I just love having this option for those days when we’re doing back to back activities, work, and school. I trust Tree Top to produce healthy snack options for my family, and the Fruit Full smoothies are made with 100% fruit with NO added sugar and, very important to me for my family’s health, no high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).
Strawberry Mojito Mocktail
Another fun fact about Tree Top Fruit Full smoothies: you can use them to mix with your favorite cocktails or mocktails. Bonus!
Heather came up with this absolutely delicious and refreshing Strawberry Mojito Mocktail, using Tree Top Fruit Full strawberry smoothie.

The generous folks at Tree Top were so kind as to also give each kiddo an ADORABLE apple lunch sack filled with cute water bottles and Tree Top Apple Sauce Pouches. I wrote about these newer apple sauce pouches earlier this year, and I have to add that my son still loves them! So much so, that as soon as we got into the car, the kids dug into their goodie bags and my son immediately started enjoying one of the Tree Top Apple Sauce Pouches. They are THAT good!
What would you use these Tree Top Fruit Full Smoothies in besides Heather’s delicious Strawberry Mojito Mocktail recipe?
Many thanks to Tree Top for sponsoring this playdate, and to Heather Likes Food for hosting this event!
