It was an absolutely GORGEOUS weekend in Portland. The sun was shining, families were out and about, the smell of barbecue permeated neighborhoods along with sounds of lots of kid laughter. It made me thirsty for summer! And Saturday was the perfect day for a little league softball game. Being snack mom for this weekend’s game, I was thrilled to partner with Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treats® for this sponsored post.
My daughter started playing softball this year, and she is loving it so far. It’s hard to believe that just a couple of months ago, she didn’t even fully understand what softball was, much less know any of the rules. She’s played soccer for the past few years, and we figured it she were to start softball, this was the year to try it out, before it started getting competitive.
We’re so glad she loves it as much as she does. We have awesome coaches, the girls are all so great together, and it’s been wonderful getting to know the other parents. The main difference I’ve had to get used to are the additional games. So many games. So many more than soccer. And that means: more snacks.
This past weekend I was snack mom, and since it was an afternoon game, I thought it would be fun to package up some trusty Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treats®.
Growing up, I just loved Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treats®, and now, they come in handy pre-packaged individual servings. The best part for me now, as a mom serving them to my kids and their friends? They contain NO high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).
Since the girls are always hungry after games, but also loaded down with lots of gear to carry, I packaged up the Rice Krispies Treats® along with a juice pouch and another snack inside a cute little chevron snack bag (I have tons of these…I’m slightly addicted to cute packaging, folks), so that it would be easy to carry along with everything else. I topped each bag with a simple printable tag to celebrate another great game.
