I love shopping. But between two kids, two businesses, three blogs, and volunteer work, I rarely have the time and I have a million other people and places where that money is better spent than on myself.
So when I do spend money on myself, I try to find the best, most stylish items that I can for the best price.
Ross Dress for Less is one of those stores that has great variety and style at low prices. They have so many locations throughout the country, and now they are opening two new locations in the Portland, Oregon area.

Enter to win a $25 Ross Gift Card
To celebrate the grand openings, Ross has generously given me a $25 for my own shopping experience, and a $25 gift card to giveaway to one lucky reader! You can get SO much for $25 at Ross!
To help me spend my $25, I asked those of you who like the Urban Bliss Life Facebook page what you would like to see me try to spend my $25 on. Women’s Clothing and Accessories was the winner! I’m excited to share with you my final purchases, but first, you’ve got to see all of the other cool stuff that I found while shopping at Ross.
More than just clothes
Sometimes, I admittedly forget that Ross has more than just a great clothing selection. You can find amazing home goods, and the selection changes regularly. I just love the throw pillows, vases, and chevron bowls that I found on my recent trip:
And, I am obsessed with owls. Ross buyers do a fantastic job of finding quality trends for less. Check out these adorable owls in the home decor section. The white candle holder (which I would use to hold office supplies) is just $4.99!
Did you know you can also get super stylish handbags, sunglasses, athleticwear, and fragrances at Ross? I also found some really cool luggage (I’m obsessed with the orchid hardcase Samsonite piece shown below) and even furniture pieces. The two ottomans shown below in the super on trend quatrefoil-inspired pattern are just $19.99 each!
The kids’ section is impressive: full of clothes and shoes, but also a great selection of toys, books, games, backpacks, and more.
I confess: we actually ended up buying a pair of shoes for each of our kids outside of the $25 gift card, because they were such awesome deals. Our kids love them!
Speaking of shoes, I usually get caught up in the women’s shoe section. I’ve scored some fabulous deals on stylish shoes here in the past, and a few pairs caught my eye on this recent trip as well.
But you all decided I should spend my $25 on clothing and accessories, and I have to say, I was super excited about that. Have I mentioned how much I love clothes shopping? ;)
Ross has rows and rows of well organized racks of mens, womens, and children’s clothing.
Again, I have such little time to shop when I do go shopping, that I am so very grateful for how well organized the Ross stores are. I had 35 minutes for this shopping trip, and that includes taking photos and trying on clothes. It was easy to move quickly through the store and find what I needed.
And when Ross says “Dress for Less” they really do mean it. I’ve purchased more expensive jeans that did not fit me as well as some of the jeans I’ve purchased at Ross in the past. The denim section was definitely high on my list to check out on this trip. Look at those price tags!
I ended up taking a few different items with me into the dressing room. From left to right:
1. Striped open shawl sweater ($12.99)
2. Black blazer ($16.99)
3. Jeans ($9.99) and printed blouse with black and silver necklace ($10.99 as a set!)
4. Cream sweater cape ($9.99) and jeans ($12.99)
In the end, guess which one I picked?
You can’t beat those prices! We’re in Portland, and this comfy, cozy cape paired with hip move-with-me-stretchy jeans is just perfect for me and my busy lifestyle.
And, the best part, the whole outfit was just $23. $23!! What do you think? Do you approve of my selection?
