Portland Dining Month 2019 kicks off March 1st! For the month of March, you can dine at several participating restaurants and enjoy a three-course meal for just $33!
Portland Dining Month 2019
2019 marks the 10th annual Portland Dining Month. Hosted by Travel Portland, this is an excellent opportunity for you to try out new restaurants or re-visit old favorites.
Each participating restaurant offers a set Dining Month Menu featuring three courses for $33. Please note that this does NOT include gratuity, nor does it include beverages (except in one case mentioned below). If you enjoy one of the Portland Dining Month menus, please remember to tip accordingly.
Some restaurants use Portland Dining Month as a chance to showcase new menu items. Others take the opportunity to share customer favorites. While a few restaurants only offer one set choice for each course, others offer one to three options per course. Be sure to fully review the latest Dining Month menus before heading out, so you know exactly what to expect.
Here are my picks for Portland Dining Month 2019!
Bar Casa Vale
Bar Casa Vale is one of my favorite spots in Portland. It’s great for brunch, dinner, or late night bites. Plates are meant to be shared, but I could easily eat several dishes on my own. It’s SO good.
For Portland Dining Month, I love that Bar Casa Vale offers 2-3 options for each course.
First course (choose one):Cod croquettes with romesco
Fish skewer served with salsa verde
Wild mushroom pintxo and chermoula
Second Course (choose one): Chicories topped with anchovy vinaigrette and sheep cheese
Ensalada rusa with beets, potatoes and radish
Third course (choose one): Valencia seafood paella with grilled chicken, clams, chermoula and saffron aioli (vegetarian option available)
Flat iron steak topped with grilled cabbage and horseradish
I love Burrasca. It’s an adorable Italian trattoria on SE Clinton. Every pasta dish I have tried here has been fantastic. Their Dining Month menu features hearty offerings for each course, and you’re definitely getting your money’s worth here.
First course: Ciaffagnone (a specialty of Tuscany’s Maremma): a thin, oven-crisped savory crepe filled with ricotta, diced pear, a whisper of nutmeg and cinnamon and drizzled with honey, pecorino sauce and black pepper.
Second course: Calamaro ripieno: squid stuffed with pappa al pomodoro (the classic Tuscan bread and tomato “soup”) served over chickpea purée with salsa verde.
Third course: Potato gnocchi in a sauce of fennel milk, light béchamel, prosciutto toscano and fennel pollen

Urban Bliss Life Portland Dining Month 2019 Goals
There are SO many more restaurants offering fantastic Dining Month menus, but these are the ones I found to be of best value at places I personally enjoy. There are some restaurants that I love that, quite frankly, don’t have fantastic dining month menu offerings — but you should still go to those and enjoy their regular menus. You can check out my restaurant guides for my Portland picks.
As for me, I look forward to using Portland Dining Month to try out some new-to-me places, including Bullard for sure. I already have a lady date night set up with a dear friend for that! I am also excited to be dining at Rosa Rosa tonight for a winemaker dinner.
Finally, I also want to check out places that are farther away out on the east side that I don’t get to otherwise. There are restaurants I’ve been invited to check out in the past that I haven’t been able to get to because of scheduling. Corzetti, Farmhouse Kitchen, OK Omens, and Urdaneta top my list right now of places to check out. How about you?
