On the eve of the New Year, you may be spending all day getting ready for tonight’s parties, or you may be like me and have two little ones who are starting to get stir crazy from being home from school for two weeks!
Here’s a fun craft project you can do with the kids before you have to get ready for tonight’s festivities: create paper accordion clocks for New Year’s Eve! If you’re celebrating at home, these are great decorations that can actually be used throughout the year for other occasions.
I saw this idea on the Fiskars site. Here’s their awesome finished product:
And here’s my take on the project:
I used my Fiskars paper cutter with the scoring tool to score the accordion folds, and since I didn’t have number stickers on hand I just made the numbers in Photoshop and printed them out, then stuck onto the clock with double-stick tape.
You can find directions on how to make the clocks and other New Year’s Eve decorations on the Fiskars site.
Hope you all have fun ringing in the new year!
