Ahh another work week. This one looks slightly less crazy (but only slightly) than last week. I have a lot of article writing to do for my biggest clients, reports, social media training programs, graphic design projects, and I’m working on spring and summer social media training workshops & 2015 speaking engagements, and the usual daily social media management for clients. I started a new Instagram account for the business side of things and you can follow me there (as well as my UrbanBlissLife account) for marketing & design updates. Plus, I’ll be photographing, editing, and writing a few new blog posts for the week. I have some upcoming posts I am really excited about and can’t wait to share with you! I’m not as overwhelmed as last week and am grateful for a little breathing room.
On the home front, my oldest is starting to work on a biography book report, and I have to confess that I am excited about it. I loved book reports as a kid. He’s doing his on Theodor Seuss Geisel – Dr. Seuss. So much fun! He also just created the coolest video with a friend for a class project using iMovie — I was thoroughly impressed. I think I’ve found my summer intern… :)
Throughout it all, I love working on personal design projects for the shop whenever I can. It allows my creative muscles to relax and flex a bit, and I am really VERY appreciative of all of you who have purchased printables from me and helped support the shop!
If you’re looking for Valentine’s Day printables, I have designed a bunch of new cards, tags, and game printables that are in the Urban Bliss Printables Shop!
Limited Time Only FREE Valentine’s Day Printables
For a limited time only – now through 11:59pm Wednesday February 4, 2015, the following two Valentine’s Day printables will be FREE! Download them directly from the links below (only blog readers get this special freebie!!) and print as many as you need for Valentine’s Day cards.
I designed these Valentine’s Day Glitter Cards with both adults and kids in mind. Because what’s Valentine’s Day without glitter? And what’s better than glitter? Glitter that doesn’t make a mess, of course!
[Sorry you missed the freebie window! You can still purchase these Glitter Valentine’s Day Card Printables from my online shop!]
I’m not at all a fan of sugary, sickeningly sweet candy treats with Valentine’s Day cards. I think the kids get WAY too much sugar as it is from their school.
So each year, the kids and I brainstorm different ideas for new cards that can go with non-candy treats. We often give pencils, but this year we found a bunch of fun erasers that my kids and their friends love (the kind that have parts that come out — do your kids love those too?), so I designed cards to work with those fun erasers.
Non-Candy GAME ON! Valentine’s Day Cards
I designed the GAME ON! Valentine’s Day cards for my son and his video game-loving friends, although my daughter is also going to be giving them to some of her friends. These will also be free at the link below through 11:59pm Wednesday Feb 4!
[Sorry you missed the freebie window! You can still purchase these Game On! Valentine’s Day Card Printables in my online shop!]
The Glitter and the Game On! Valentine’s Day printables will only be free for blog readers through exactly 11:59pm Wednesday February 4, 2015! After midnight, you can always still purchase them in the shop. :)
New Non-Candy Valentine’s Day Printables
My kids also love bookmarks. They can’t get enough of them, and I am CONSTANTLY making them new ones. So for Valentine’s Day, I designed two new bookmark sets for the kids to use in Valentine exchanges. So each kid will get a bookmark and a coordinating fun eraser.

Valentine’s Day Printable Word Search Activity
Finally, I’ll have a new printable up on Today’s Creative Blog soon! I designed a Valentine’s Day Word Search that you can download from Today’s Creative Blog. My kids love word searches, and these are great for parties and even to use for Valentine exchanges instead of cards!
