Are you getting ready for the Big Game this weekend? Everywhere I look, there are recipes for the biggest baddest stuffed hot dogs, cheese-laden appetizers, and super sugary sweet mile-high desserts.
If you’re looking for some lighter fare to balance out the Day of Gut Bombs and Overindulgence, try my Ceviche-Style Tequila Shrimp.
It goes well scooped up with tasty tortilla chips. And, if you have a Grocery Outlet near you, you can get most of the ingredients on sale now through Feb 2!
For example, the Hass Avocados I used in the Ceviche-Style Tequila Shrimp are on sale this weekend for just 2 for $1.
Two! For one buck! That’s a huge savings from all of the other local grocery stores around. Believe me: I checked and compared prices. For use in the same recipe, I also found:
* one bag of roma tomatoes for $1.99
* one bag of frozen shrimp for $7.99
* one huge 24 ounce bag of tortilla chips for $1.99

Grocery Outlet Goodies
I love supporting my local Grocery Outlet — it’s locally-owned, they have amazing prices, and the staff are always super helpful. You may remember my last post sharing my Grocery Outlet wine shopping trip. This last trip focused on more healthy finds, thanks to Grocery Outlet’s growing NOSH section.
Each Grocery Outlet in the country has a NOSH (Natural, Organic, Specialty, and Healthy) section. This year, they announced plans to expand NOSH, since the products in those areas have been so popular.
Since I’m dairy-free now, I was SO excited to find these Coconut Milk boxes for just $1.49. I stocked up!
And a large jar of coconut oil was just $5.99. I bought one jar, but I’m thinking I need to go back and get more!
Outside of the official NOSH section, I discovered more delicious finds at amazing prices.
Like refrigerated almond milk for just $1.49.
My favorite local Tillamook butter for a super low $2.99
In addition to stocking up on some fabulous food, I found my favorite Oregon cider: Atlas Blackberry for $5.39.
In fact, in addition to a great wine selection, the Grocery Outlet local craft beer section is quite impressive.
Finally, not food but food-related: I totally love the colorful kitchen tools section at my local Grocery Outlet. I want to outfit my entire kitchen with all of this bright happiness.
Now that you’ve seen some of the fantastic deals you can get, I’m excited to be giving away one $25 gift card that can be used at any Grocery Outlet!
