One week until Feast Portland, people. I can't believe it's already here!
I wrote a bit about what Feast Portland is in my prior post with the National Honey Board giveaway, but you can read more about it on my Feast Portland page.
Feast is celebrating its Fifth Anniversary and I am proud to say that this will be my fourth year attending!
What is Feast Portland?
Feast Portland is the city's largest food and beverage festival.
This year, Feast Portland events run Friday September 16th through Sunday September 18th, at various locations throughout Portland, Oregon. Tickets to Feast Portland's main events usually sell out within hours of going on sale. But there are still a few tickets left for some of my favorite events: the smaller, more intimate Drink Tank events, presented by Imbibe.
While there is a lot of food happening at Feast, the organizers recognize that where there's food, there must be drinks. In addition to some of the top chefs hanging out and preparing their best, Feast Portland also draws some of the country's top winemakers, ciderhouses, and brewers/breweries around. Many of them come to share their knowledge, and their tasty wines/beers/ciders/spirits, at Feast's awesome Drink Tank events.
Here's the lowdown on the Feast Portland Drink Tank events that still, as of the second I hit publish on this post, have tickets available. Get your tickets NOW before they sell out! See you at Feast?
Note: the photos in this post were taken by me from past Feast Portland events and brand events.

You guys. I have had a post entitled The Best 7 Ciders in the Pacific Northwest in my Drafts section for this blog for over an entire year. There it sits, because I just can't narrow it down to seven! The number of cideries in the US is growing quickly, and I am in love with this movement! Attend this Drink Tank event and meet some of the tastemakers who are helping shape this growing beverage industry, not to mention, you'll get to taste some of their amazing cider!
The lineup includes:
- Jeff Alworth, Cider Made Simple (Portland, OR)
- Joshua M. Bernstein, Author and Journalist (Brooklyn, NY)
- Craig Campbell, Tieton Cider Works (Seattle, WA)
- Nat West, Reverend Nat's Hard Cider (Portland, OR)
- Kevin Zielinski, E.Z. Orchards Cidre (Salem, OR)

If you've been following this blog over the past couple of years, you've likely noticed an uptick in Washington wines being reviewed and Washington vineyards being featured. I adore my homestate of Oregon and still believe it's the reigning champ of Pinot, Chardonnay, and Rose, but Washington state wines hold a special place in my heart now too. Attend this Drink Tank event and take a trip through the state's luscious wine offerings, lead by wine guru Bruce Schoenfeld.
The lineup includes:
- Kate Derby Raymond, Spring Valley Vineyard (Walla Walla, WA)
- Brennon Leighton, B. Leighton Wines (Seattle, WA)
- Tony Rynders, Tendril Wine Cellars (Carlton, OR)
- Bruce Schoenfeld, Saveur (Boulder, CO)

You need to attend this event because of this lineup of CRAZY AMAZING tastemakers:
- Kate Bolton, Maven (Portland, OR)
- Paul Clarke, Imbibe (Portland, OR)
- Neil Kopplin, Imbue Cellars (Beaverton, OR)
- Ryan Magarian, Hamlet (Portland, OR)
- Jake Parrott, Haus Alpenz (Bristow, VA)
These are the people who know what's what in the world of spirits and with the aperitif tradition coming back into vogue, it's time to get educated. I envision this event will have the most delicious drinks sampled. Enjoy!

I'm intrigued by how this one is all gonna go down, y'all. I mean: wine vs. beer? Can't we all just get along? Just like I tell my children: I love you both the same!
This Feast Portland Drink Tank events has Maria Ross from Bon Appetit is duking it out for wine while Christian DeBenedetti from Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery will be representing the beer. Meanwhile, Steve Jones from Cheese Bar will be offering up delicious cheese samples to pair with wine and cheese – and lucky attendees get to try them too!

I'm so excited about attending my first Feast! I loved your top 10 pieces of advice post about it too btw. I'm really hoping to attend the Aperitifs Ascendant if I can get in. It sounds fascinating!
See you there :)

Really looking to my first FEAST and seeing you there! I'm with Mary, I'm looking forward to the Apertifs Ascendant. Ever since our trip to Spain last fall, I've been really into Vermouth. I'd love to learn more!

I really want to attend the cider Drink Tank event. If only I could be in two places at once... that is my constant problem with Feast. Too many good things!
