One of my favorite snacks is granola, and I just love Nature’s Path Organic Granola. Here’s how you can use it to create a healthier snack bar for you and your family.
Hey, hey! It’s my birthday! So in celebration, I am sharing not just one but TWO yummy gluten-free recipes with you on the blog today! On my birthday, everyone gets extra treats! :) Hop on over to my Gluten-Free French Toast Paninis with Strawberries & Dairy-Free Cream Cheese post to see the second gluten-free recipe.
With the weather being in the mid-60’s in Portland this month (sorry, East Coast friends!), our house is becoming busier with more after-school friends stopping by. And they come hungry.
I’m one of those moms who TOTALLY puts snacks in bowls. You saw the SNL Thanksgiving sketch, right? I’m THAT mom, putting snacks for all the kids in bowls as soon as they come over.
The Nature’s Path Organic Granola in Honey Almond is an awesome addition to any after-school snack bar. It’s gluten-free, contains chia seeds, and is downright delicious on its own.The honey adds sweetness to it, but it’s not overly sweet.
Here’s what I include in a healthier snack bar:
* bowls of whatever fruit I have on hand, which usually includes blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, apples, and pears. I look forward to peach season, because peaches would be delicious in this snack bar!
* bowl of chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free mini chocolate chips)
* bowl of yogurt
* bowl of Nature’s Path Gluten-Free Organic Granola
I set out spoons, and parfait glasses (although regular bowls will work perfectly), and let the kids build their own snack parfaits.
You can find Nature’s Path Organic Granola in many local grocery stores, including Walmart.
