One weekend a few weeks ago, my son decided we should all write down what we wanted to do this summer. On sticky notes. We each took turns writing down one thing, then passed the sheet with sticky notes around.
Those notes are somewhere in our house. Where? No clue. We can’t find them. It’s too bad, because there were some fun (and funny!) things on those lists!
So on a whim I designed these Things I Want To Do This Summer sheets on our first official day of summer break yesterday. I printed them, had the kids fill them out, hole punched them, and added them to our family binder.
The kids lists crack me up, but also inspire me. I’ve suggested that they add to it as much as they want. We likely won’t accomplish everything on their lists, but every day we can open up our family binder and pull from their great ideas.
Then at the end of the summer, we can look back at all we have accomplished, and add these to our memory books.
The best part for me about activity sheets like this? Seeing the kids’ goals in their own adorable kid-like handwriting over the years. Melt a mom’s heart!
If you haven’t already done your Summer To Do lists, I’m offering these as FREE SUMMER ACTIVITY PRINTABLES!
