I have a confession: meal planning is something I have never been particularly good at.
I’ve tried coordinating Sundays as cook-for-the-week days, but it rarely works out. I’ve tried planning out meals for the week, and getting all of the ingredients together, but inevitably, life happens and I end up grabbing a sandwich from the deli on the way to an event I’m running late to…and the veggies I set out for a fabulous homecooked meal end up rotting in my fridge because I didn’t use them soon enough.
But the kids are back in school. We’ve got our work – after school – sports – family routine going strong. We are a busy, busy family, as I am sure you are too. I’m determined this fall to be better about meal planning.
I am three days into it, and so far, so good. Yep: three days.
Don’t laugh, friends: that’s one day longer than any other time I’ve attempted this! ;)
To aid in my new commitment to meal planning, I’ve designed some printables to help me – and you! – stay on track.
I’ve got a full coordinating Meal Planning Printable set for you:
