Hello there! I’m Marlynn (pronounced Mar-Lynn), and I’m so happy you are here!
I started blogging in 2004, back when this blog was focused more on the trials & tribulations of being a new mom, and it was called Maternity to Madness. It now focuses on Food + Drink, Family Travel, and DIY/Entertaining — all things I love, and hope you love too :)
This blog, Urban Bliss Life, is my celebration of all of the blissful things in life, shared with all of you. As an avid home cook who is constantly trying new recipes (and sometimes failing and trying again!), I love sharing my recipes with you. Since I’m a busy working mom of two, I make sure that the recipes on Urban Bliss Life are all fast, easy, fresh, and delicious. Being an Oregonian living right at the edge of wine country and in the heart of Beervana, I also love sharing wine + beer tips, wine + beer reviews, and a sprinkling of spirits thrown in for good measure now and then. I also have a terrible case of wanderlust, as does my entire family, so I try to scope out and share family travel adventure stories for you whenever and wherever I can. A creative at heart, I also share lots of DIY craft projects as well as printables I have designed through my business, Urban Bliss Media (I also am a printables contributor on my friend Kim’s awesome blog: Today’s Creative Blog).
My goal is for you to come here when you’re looking for a recommendation, a good/funny read (I like to joke & laugh a lot, don’t you?), or some pretty pictures to take your mind off the day’s troubles. Either way, I’m here for you, sweet friends! I love helping others discover new treasures!
I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by and read my blog. I especially LOVE all of your comments! It means a whole lot to me, and I hope you’ll make it a regular visit!
Thank you for visiting this space. I hope you will come back often, grab a cup of coffee, and chat with me in the comments. I love making new friends and connecting with those who may be going through the same mad juggle of motherhood/wife/friend/boss/serial entrepreneur.
